Hi Tracey, I would just like to say what an amazing thing you and the organisation are doing. The process was really organised and quick and everyone was really friendly. Since having a few people die of heart attacks in my family, I have always panicked and worried about having heart problems which have now been put at ease! Thank you so much!!!!

Hi Tracey, the day was absolutely perfect from start to finish all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Getting these types of checks done is something that is very close to my own heart as the reason for my visit was due to my football managers father sadly passing away of cardiac arrest on the sideline watching an amateur football game last year. Being able to have the peace of mind of seeing a consultant as well as getting the ECO scan performed was great. I will be 100% recommending the service to friends and family members in the future. Hi Tracy, I am very grateful for the help & reassurance from every single member off staff that I came across on the day I attended this screening! They were extremely helpful and amazing at reassurance as I was quite nervous, due to family history of heart complications!
THANKFULLY, nothing stood out on my ECG or Echocardiogram! The consultant who spoke through my ecg was very understanding and did a fantastic job, he discussed different avenues for me to go down for further tests to put my mind at ease!
Going onto the cardiologist who done my echo for me, he was so so reassuring and explained everything he was doing prior to doing so! He told me exactly what he was looking for, and that everything looked as normal as it could! The consultant also came in on my echo to give me that extra reassurance which I was extremely grateful for!
I had a really good experience getting my free screening and I have highly recommended it to many of my friends, family and colleagues! I can not fault anything that was done that day! Many thanks again,

Hello, I was very grateful for the time and attention given during my heart screening last Saturday. Very friendly staff and pleasant, caring cardiologist who was thorough and had a very personable approach. We had to wait quite a long time to be seen which we hadn't quite planned for (approx 1.5 hours) but we really appreciated the effort that had gone into the screening day so cannot complain at all about the wait when it is for such a good cause. Perhaps warn people that timings may vary in case of problems identified with some people's checks. I'm sure it won't put people off being screened. Thanks again

Hi Tracey, myself & my husband went along to tinge heart screening on Saturday and we thought it was excellent. It is so great that you can offer this screening and pick up any early problems for people. Fortunately our investigations were all okay but I think it's well worth having a little MOT every now and then. All the staff/volunteers were so friendly and kept us informed of each stage of the screening. I hope your funding continues for many more screening dates. Thank you to you and the team, you're doing an amazing job.

Hi, I just wanted to email back saying how much I appreciated the screening on offer today. I had a baby 10 weeks ago and to be honest, this has made me think a lot more about my health etc so the reassurance I got today was great.
Everyone was really friendly, professional and put me at ease. They took their time and even helped me out when my baby girl vomited all over me which meant having to wait for me to get her changed etc and then watching her while I got the ECG.
Everything turned out fine with my heart screening which was good to find out - it was a really positive experience and I'm grateful it was on offer. Thank you. Kind regards.

Sorry it has taken me so long to thank you for putting on a fantastic and invaluable service last Saturday. I was in the 2pm slot and was worried it may be back logged but I found the complete opposite, the process was slick and informative and I felt completely at ease the whole time. The staff/volunteers were wonderful and I will be encouraging everyone to sign up for the next one! Well done VSF! Many thanks indeed.

I found the experience to be wholly positive! The process was speedy and the staff were all super friendly which was great for people like me in particular, who can get a bit anxious around anything medical!
I would recommend to other people and I will definitely think about fundraising for the foundation in the near future.

I was one of the fortunate ones to have no signs of any issues (even though I answered a few "yes" questions on the initial form) but the doctor re-assured me that he felt that there was no underlying issues. I found all of the staff to be really helpful as I was first to arrive. I thought the whole process was very smooth, streamlined, fast and very effective and would definitely participate again.
I have also added the vital signs foundation to my Facebook with the hope of writing a similar review. I would like to thank all of the staff at the vital heart foundation for setting up this screening and for the excellent work you do.

I, as a mum of an up and coming young talented crossfit athlete cannot thank the vital signs foundation for the free screening day we where able to attend. The tests where so easy, and took at most 10 mins to be completed. My son aged 15 was put at ease and all the processes explained in full. The relief in our minds as parents to hear he is fit and healthy and his hearts working great. We also manged to get both of our hearts checked 2! Amazing. We was slightly apprehensive before we went, what if something showed, but we where in safe hands, and that all ok meant the world!

My partner was extremely anxious about signing up for the health check with VSF. Worrying about his health has haunted him for years, affecting his day to day life. He made the decision to sign up on his own, and I gave Tracey a call over at the Foundation to explain my partner’s situation & ask for advice on how I could help him. I can't describe how much this conversation helped me handle my partner’s anxiety. His main worry on the day (other than results) was waiting round with other people, in case they saw him getting anxious. The team were fantastic, so accommodating in the lead up and on the day and I cannot thank them enough for the support they gave me and my partner.

I had been nervous about anything to do with my heart for years. When my partner told me about the test I put a front on and avoided signing up for it myself. When the test came up in Crosby I knew I had to go and do it to put my mind at ease. After signing up reluctantly I was really nervous up to the day of the test. I could have easily cancelled it but there was something inside me that wouldn't click the cancel button. When I went to the screening, the staff were really helpful and fantastic on the day. Getting all the help you need and making you feel comfortable allows you to relax whilst you are there. The test is really easy to do as you don't do anything other than sit still. Once my test was over I had a good talk with the consultant who again reassured me that nothing was wrong and that I can now stop thinking about it. I wouldn't have been able to do that if it wasn't for the staff and their help!

Very thankful for the VSF team for speedy and efficient heart screening at Goodison Park. A fit and healthy friend died suddenly of a heart attack whilst training in the gym. This is well worth the half hour of your time.

I think the Vital Sound Foundation team are excellent. Not only is it great for awareness, but they are all such lovely people too. I felt comfortable throughout the whole process of getting my heart screened, I was also given a full explanation of each station which gave me a good insight and increased my knowledge regarding the importance of getting your heart checked.
I asked the VSF team after my first visit could I volunteer with my daughter as I really think this was a great idea to put across to younger people ages 15-35. And better yet it's completely FREE. I helped out at Crosby lakeside and hope to have the chance to work with them again in the future

I was very impressed with the service. Not only were they efficient and well organised, they were extremely kind and friendly too. We spoke to the Consultant afterwards and she gave me exactly what I wanted – reassurance. Very happy to hear her say that my 17 year old son was fine and that 5 yearly checks for him were reasonable.

I just wanted to thank you and your team for allowing my two eldest daughters, nephew, and friend to participate at the heart screening that took place at Scarisbrick Hall. We found it very beneficial and, importantly, it raised our awareness of conditions such as Sudden Cardiac Arrest in young people. The fact that the screening was totally free to attend is a great and accessible way to detect and raise awareness of heart conditions in young people

A great day organised by Vital Signs Foundation. It was amazing to see so many people taking control of their heart health, and taking the time out to have an ECG. I was amazed how quick the test was! Just as I asked the guy will it hurt (for some reason I thought it would feel like a TENS machine!) he said it’s done! It literally took 30 seconds! You don’t feel a thing! And it could save your life! Then you get to speak to a consultant cardiologist (which you would normally wait months for) and they go through your ECG with you. You get to see North West Ambulance paramedics about CPR and how to use a defibrillator as well as getting your blood pressure and oxygen levels checked. I would strongly recommend, for peace of mind and potentially saving lives, organising one of these events in your local community.
