Steve has been an operational Firefighter Manager for almost 30 years and has a wealth of management and organisational experience. He has been involved in a number of high profile events including the World Firefighter Games WFG08 and is the organisational lead for the VSF. He has now retired from the fire service.

After developing the heart muscle disease Cardiomyopathy Lynn became passionate about wanting to help others with the condition and about finding ways to prevent unnecessary loss of life from heart related conditions.
Having benefited from the life changing medical care and support from Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and Cardiomyopathy UK, she channelled her new found health and energies into raising awareness, helping others with the condition, raising £k,s towards educating GP’s in diagnosis of the condition and lobbying members of parliament.
Wishing to focus on prevention, she was delighted to be invited to join VSF in 2014.
Lynn brings over 30 years of business experience to the team, currently as a director of Hedge & Co Ltd a business services provider and previously from a 30 year career with M&S Plc and M&S Bank where she was Head of HR and a member of the Senior Operating Board. She has also been involved in business start up’s, growth projects and leadership programmes. Her focus has always been to get optimum performance out of any organisation she has been involved in and help people be at their best.

Martin joined NWAS over 7 years ago starting as an Emergency Medical Technician 1 before attending University of Central Lancashire and achieving his Dip HE in Paramedic practise.
Martin is currently a Clinical team mentor Paramedic working with Private Ambulance Services In the North East of England and East Midlands he also holds other contracts as a freelance Paramedic including event medicine, Care Quality Commission and as a Custody suite Paramedic.
He is currently Vice Chair with the BASICS doctors charity, a team of doctors who volunteer to respond to a wide range of Emergencies.
Martin currently lives in Bolton with his partner and 2 daughters.
Anthony has more than 20 years of NHS experience and has worked within the trust for 15 years. He was appointed as Divisional Head of Operations for Clinical Services in April 2015. Previously he was appointed as General Manager for Clinical Support Services in April 2013.
His education includes a MSc in Health and Social Care Management as well as a BSc in Clinical Physiology.

Tony was a Trustee until September 2017 – he stepped down due to work pressures and became our Ambassador at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital
Due to a family history of Cardiomyopathy, Sophie has been fortunate to receive regular heart screening at the Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital. She joins/ed the VSF team to help support fundraisers and promote the advantages of screening with other young people, in the hope that they too can benefit from the process and the number of unnecessary deaths from sudden cardiac arrest can be reduced.
After 8 years of working in London, Sophie returned to Cheshire in 2014 to set up Hedge & Co, providing marketing and business development services to companies in the North West.
