Chris Kendall and Steve Haw successfully complete 18 holes of golf in Scotland, England and Wales - all on the same day!
Congratulations to Chris Kendall and our very own Steve Haw for completing the gruelling challenge of playing 18 holes of golf in Scotland, England and Wales – all within the one day.
Their challenge took place on Friday 8th June at 5am when they stood on the first tee at Powfoot Golf Club in Scotland. They then drove all the way to Chester to play 18 holes at Vicars Cross Golf Club. The last golf club, a very hilly course by all accounts, was Hawarden Golf Club in Wales. This is where they finished their challenge ( or did it finish them!)
It was Chris’ idea to take on the challenge – I think he came up with the idea at the end of our golf day last year when he’d had a couple of pints! He then asked Steve to join him and together they have raised the grand total of just under £2000! What a fantastic achievement! Well worth the aching legs the next day hey boys!
This money will be put towards our campaign of trying to raise £35,000 in order that we may purchase our own Echocardiogram machine – a great start!
