Our "3 Peakers" from Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital scale Snowden, Scafell and Ben Nevis in 24 hours!
Last weekend – Friday 10th and Saturday 11th June – the group of fantastic people from the therapy team at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital set off on their Three Peaks Challenge which was to complete it in 24 hours.
They did it!!! In 23hrs and 45 minutes- 15 minutes to spare!
- Snowdon – 3hrs 30 mins
- Scafell – 3hrs
- Ben Nevis – 3hrs 10 mins
- Total time up and down the mountains – 9hrs 40mins.
- Time in minibus 14 hrs !!!!!!!
What an amazing achievement – the walking up and down the mountains, not travelling in the minibus! By all accounts they were exhausted, in agony with blisters and struggling to walk at work on Monday but they did it and we are so proud of all of them. What is probably easing their pain immensely is the fact that in total they have raised a £6190! Absolutely fantastic!
What these guys have achieved both physically and in the amount of money they have raised is phenominal and we are extremely grateful and thankful.
