Thank you to everyone who donated £1 in our £ on the Bill campaign during February Heart Month - over £2000 was raised!
February is National Heart Month and to raise vital funds we asked four of our local restaurants to get behind our “ £ on the Bill ” campaign – very simply, an extra £1 is added to the bill and goes direct to our charity.
Auberge Brasserie on Seabank Road, Bistrot Verite in Birkdale, La Tabella in Churchtown and The Office Bar & Restaurant on Hoghton Street all took up the campaign and thanks to many generous customers they managed to raise £2136 between them – what a staggering achievement!
Everyone at VSF would like to thank Russell, Michaela & Mark, Rob and Chris & Lee and all their staff for supporting our charity and raising such a huge sum of money. We completely rely upon donations to be able to carry out our FREE heart screening days for young people aged 16-35 and really couldn’t do it without kind people like them.
We would also like to thank each and every customer for choosing to donate £1 from their bill. This money will fund further heart screenings in the Southport area and could potentially save a young person’s life!
