The Buy to Let Broker are taking on the mammoth 1000 mile cycling challenge in an attempt to raise enough funds to provide a screening day in their local area
Southport based mortgage experts, The Buy to Let Broker, are marking their first ever charity partnership with a mammoth 1000 mile team challenge to raise funds for Vital Signs Foundation (VSF).
After hearing how Steve tragically lost his son, Chris Haw, to sudden cardiac arrest aged just 25, the team at the Buy to Let specialist were moved to take action and help raise the much-needed funds the charity needs to screen young people across the North West aged 16-35 for undiagnosed heart conditions.
As a leading brand in the UK mortgage market, the 20-strong team are now putting power to the pedal and hitting the office treadmill and exercise bike to conquer 1000 miles in a virtual tour of the UK’s biggest mortgage lenders in a bid to fully fund one of our upcoming screening events.

“Steve has been a client of ours for a few years now so when we found out about the incredible work they are doing, we wanted to help in any way we could.
“As a national broker we work with every UK lender currently on the market and wanted to get as many of them on board. Therefore we calculated if we circumvented the UK to 16 of our top partners including Kent Reliance, Paragon and BM Solutions that we would have to cover over 1000 miles from Glasgow to Bournemouth and back again. This gave us a clear target to work towards.
“I am immensely proud of the team’s response so far and every member of staff has really stepped up to the challenge to help scratch off the miles. I have no doubt that we will hit the target and hope that others will support with donations.”
Costing around £3,000 per screening event, the team are hopeful that they can raise this amount to help up to 100 young people and potentially save others from unnecessary bereavement.
