The best of Southport's Christmas jumpers were on show to raise vital funds for VSF
Now in its 4th year, The Christmas Jumper Pub Quiz is always a great night of fun and frolics as well as being a huge success! It takes place at The Settle Inn at the Botanic Gardens on the last weekend before Christmas.
This year it took place on Friday 20th December and all funds raised went to our great little charity. A few of us from the VSF team went along to support them and we had the best night! It was such a great atmosphere. It was just £5 per person to get in and then all teams can buy tickets for a superb raffle with lots of amazing prizes on offer, take part in a hilarious pub quiz, dance around to live entertainment from Soul Declaration and then get stuck into chip butties later on! What more could you ask for?
The phenomenal sum of £1673.22 was raised on the night – how fantastic is that! We really cannot thank Hayley Murray and everyone who assisted her in putting the fundraising night together, as well as everyone who came along and donated.
All proceeds from the event will go towards funding a FREE heart screening in the area in April/May of this year. We have to date screened just under 3000 people and found 16 with life threatening heart conditions that they were totally unaware of! Your support will allow us to continue delivering these life saving screenings!
