Ricky Tomlinson, together with Jez and Brian, present VSF with a cheque for £5000
What a fantastic night our very own Steve Haw had on Friday 29th June – he spent the evening in the company of all the great guys and girls of Upton Cricket Club, got to meet the great Ricky Tomlinson and was then presented with a cheque for £5000! How good is that?!
Last weekend was the annual “Marquee Weekend” where Upton Cricket Club host 2 nights of fun, partying and fundraising – and what great nights they are!
Friday night was “An Audience with Ricky Tomlinson” where all 240 guests were entertained by the brilliant Ricky Tomlinson, with great support from Sean Styles. They really did bring the house down. Ricky, together with Jez Lamb (chairman) and Brian Shenton (President), presented Steve with a cheque for £5000 – this is the amount of money Upton Cricket Club and everyone involved have raised for Vital Signs Foundation (VSF) since they started to fundraise for us in January 2016. What an outstanding achievement!
All the trustees would like to express huge thanks to everyone at Upton Cricket Club – from Jez, Brian, Tom Marsland and Sophie Hedgecoe to all the players, coaches, parents, husbands and wives for all their contributions. You should all be extremely proud of yourselves!
We love the relationship we have with everyone at Upton and we hope it continues for years to come!
