Heart Screening at Christleton High School, Chester – April 2018

Our 21st heart screening day was a great day - almost everyone who booked in attended. An excellent turnout!

We held our second FREE heart screening in the Chester area on Saturday 14th April 2018 and it was extremely well attended.  In total we screened 96 young people aged 16 to 35 for undiagnosed heart conditions.

The majority of those people went away happy and relieved that their heart was healthy.   The mental health wellbeing of young people is equally as important as the physical, so we are very proud of the fact that we can make a difference by putting worried minds at rest.  This allows those people to fully access their lives with greater confidence.

We came across a few people who needed to have further tests organising for them.  They were all spoken to in great detail and given the support they required from our consultant, Dr Jay Wright, as well other members of our team.  We would like to say thank you for your patience to those people who had to wait slightly longer for their ECG and consultation with Dr Wright whilst Echocardiograms were performed.  This is an important part of the process and one that needs to be done precisely.

A huge thank you to Illingworth Seddon Chartered Financial Planners, Waitrose, Little Tap and each and every person in the Tattenhall area who donated and raised funds to pay for the screening day.  It’s because of people like you that we can continue to provide our much needed service.  We would also like to thank Liz Humphries and everyone at Christleton High School for allowing us to hold our screening in their school.

Please keep checking our website for updates as to when and where our next FREE heart screenings days will be and get yourself booked on!
