Our latest Heart Screening day was held at the impressive St Winefride's campus of Hugh Baird College and was funded by PURE Business Group
On Saturday 16th February 2019, at the St Winefride’s Campus of Hugh Baird College in Bootle, Liverpool we held our 27th heart screening event . We really are grateful to Pat for allowing us to use the fantastic building for our screening event and to Janine, Janet and the rest of their team for looking after us on the day.
We had a great turnout, an awful lot of people went away with smiles on their faces, relieved having had their heart checked and been told all was well. Anyone with an issue was referred back to their GP for further tests. Thank you to anyone who contacted us to advise they couldn’t make their appointment – we were able to screen other people in their places.
Thank you to everyone who generously made a donation on the day – £100 was raised. Other people were also asking if they could donate on our Justgiving page as well so many thanks to them!
We must say a big thank you to our team – Dr George Koulaouzidi, the two Gills, Pete, our very own Laurence (Lol) and Hannah, our student paramedic. They all form our fantastic clinical team and they do a great job. Also doing a great job on the day are Steve, Lynn and Tracey who dish out the medical questionnaires, take everyone through the process and generally make everyone feel relaxed and at ease. A huge thank you to them all!
We should also say a huge thank you to everyone who raises funds for us as it is because of you that we can hold screening events like this – huge thanks!
